About Adult Community
Adult life at CTR is built on God's Word and shared with friends. Whether you're new to the faith or have walked with Jesus for decades, there's a class, group, or gathering for you — Sunday mornings, weeknights, weekday mornings, and beyond.
What to expect
- Multiple Sunday morning Bible classes for every interest
- Women's and men's groups for study, service, and fellowship
- Weekday Bible studies — Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings
- Fellowship gatherings like Winers & Diners, ROMEOs, CTR Friends, and Connect Night
- Lutheranism 101 for anyone exploring the faith or membership
Adult Bible Classes
- Adult Bible Class — led by Pastor Burmeister, Sundays 9:30 AM in Fellowship East.
- Life by His Word (Gospel of John) — led by Steve Short, Sundays 9:30 AM in the SE Classroom next to the Fishbowl.
- Tuesday Morning Women's Study — Tuesdays 10:00 AM in the Fishbowl. Contact Carri Cline (ccline@ctrtulsa.org). Returning Fall 2026.
- Widow/Widower's Bible Study — Wednesdays 10:00 AM with Pastor Burmeister.
- Lutheranism 101 — Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:00 PM in Fellowship East. Open to anyone interested or pursuing membership. Returning Fall 2026.
- Ladies Friday Bible Class — Fridays 9:30 – 11:00 AM in East Fellowship Hall, led by Patti Ross. Materials provided.
Women
- LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League) — Supporting CTR's mission of leading others into a living relationship with Jesus. Contact Debra Howell, CTR LWML President.
- Sew 'n Sows — Tuesdays at 10 AM, making quilts for missions and those in need.
- Lady Roustabouts — Meet as needed at CTR to work on projects around the building. Contact Carri Cline.
- BUNCO — First Thursday of the month at 1:00 PM in Fellowship West.
Men
- Roustabouts — Friday mornings for coffee, doughnuts, fellowship, and light building maintenance. Contact Floyd Lemons.
- 1517 Conference — Each fall a group attends together in northwest Arkansas. Contact Shaun James or Jerrod Johnson.
- ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) — Third Wednesday of the month at 11:30 AM at Savastano's. Men "aged to perfection" welcome!
- Men's Quarterly Breakfast — Contact Floyd Lemons or Shaun James.
Fellowship
- Winers and Diners — Every other month, fellowship and wine tasting at a local restaurant or member's home. Contact Sandy Moeller.
- Connect Night — A quarterly family ministry program offering childcare and parent/adult fellowship. Contact the Family & Children's Ministry.
- CTR Friends — Monthly luncheon outings at local restaurants. Contact Roseanne Kretzschmar.
