LWML shoe drive is back! Two years ago 125 pairs were collected by CTR. OK LWML District receives funds based on the number of pounds received. 25% goes to LWML Mites. Some of the shoes donated will be used in foreign countries where people are trained to become entrepreneurs and set up a shoe store. Funds generated from these stores can help those in extreme poverty such as a man who used funds from his shoe store to purchase a goat to provide milk for his family.
Shoe drive runs now through January 31, 2025. Collection location will be on shelved area behind name tags. Shoes with laces cans be tied together and others can be rubberband together.
